How many 1-loop neutrino mass models are there?

چکیده

A bstract It is well-known that at tree-level the d = 5 Weinberg operator can be generated in exactly three different ways, famous seesaw models. In this paper we study related question of how many phenomenologically consistent 1-loop models one construct d=5. First, discuss there are two possible classes neutrino mass models, allow avoiding stable charged relics: (i) with dark matter candidates and (ii) “exits”. Here, define “exits” as particles decay into standard model fields. Considering new scalars fermions, find class a total (115+203) while exit (38+368) 115 number DM which require stabilizing symmetry, 203 contain candidate, maybe accidentally stable. 38 refers to for (or two) internal loop SM field, 368 only fields beyond (BSM) diagram. We then RGE evolution gauge couplings all our Many list lead Landau poles some coupling rather low energies unifies above 10 15 GeV numerically acceptable way.

How many tastes are there?

How many basic tastes are there? Most people list four: sweet, sour, salty and bitter. Those with a background in the chemosensory sciences usually add a fifth, umami. But why stop there? There is growing evidence that there are more—perhaps many more. The idea that there are four basic tastes goes back at least as far as ancient Greece, so if there are more than four basic tastes why haven't t...

How many species are there?

'How many species are there' is a question receiving more attention from biologists and reasons for this are suggested. Different methods of answering this question are examined and include: counting all species; extrapolations from known faunas and regions; extrapolations from samples; methods using ecological models; censusing taxonomists' views. Most of these methods indicate that global tot...

How many words are there?

The commonsensical assumption that any language has only finitely many words is shown to be false by a combination of formal and empirical arguments. Zipf's Law and related formulas are investigated and a more complex model is offered.

How Many Types Are There?

We consider an revealed preference based method which will partition consumer microdata into an approximate minimal number of preference types such that the data are perfectly rationalisable by standard utility theory. This provides a simple, nonparametric and theory-driven way of investigating unobserved preference heterogeneity in empirical data, and easily extends to any choice model which h...

How Many Solar Neutrino Experiments Are Wrong?

Ten recently-published solar models give Be neutrino uxes that lie within a range of 10% of the average value, a convergence that is independent of uncertainties in the measured laboratory rate of the Be(p; )B reaction. If nothing happens to solar neutrinos after they are created (a la standard electroweak theory) and the operating solar neutrino experiments are correct, then the Be solar neutr...
